L-Band Modulator Parameters

11.2.1

Carrier

The Carrier parameter sets the L-band carrier mode of operation. The Carrier setting through the 
front panel is parallel supported using the F2 shortcut key on the touch-pad.

The available options are:

■

Off

 – Carrier is disabled. Shortcut combination is 

F2 + Right

.

■

Operational

 – Enable the Carrier. Shortcut combination is 

F2 + Up

.

■

Reduced

 – Enable the Carrier and use the Reduced L-Band Power setting (L-Band only).

The Carrier default is 

Operational

.

Front Panel

To set the Carrier parameter on the front panel:

Root > L-Band Modulation & Up-Converter > Carrier

Web Manager

To set the Carrier parameter in the Web Manager:

1. Select 

DSNG > MODULATOR AND UP-CONVERTER

 (see Figure 11–2 or Figure 11–3).

2. Select a Carrier option.

3. Click
