HFC
hybrid fiber coax. An access method that delivers programming to the individual customer. It
combines the use of fiber and coaxial cable.
HHP
Harmonic Heartbeat Protocol. HHP is a proprietary protocol, which is used by Harmonic’s
IP-capable devices to protect the IP network by avoiding situations where, as a result of
redundancy transition or fault of some kind, more than one device is transmitting to the same
destination address.
