Cleaning agents not permitted
Damage to the housing surface or housing seal

Never use concentrated mineral acids or alkaline solutions for cleaning.
‣
Never use organic cleaners such as acetone, benzyl alcohol, methanol, methylene
chloride, xylene or concentrated glycerol cleaner.
‣
Never use high-pressure steam for cleaning.
Rinsing the reagent and standard channels
1. Place the ends of the hoses (RB, RK, RN, S) into an empty plastic beaker.
2. Purge the hoses with air. Select:

The hoses are automatically purged with air and emptied. This process takes
several minutes.
3. Rinse the hoses with water: Immerse all hoses (RB, RK, RN, S) in a beaker with
approx. 500 ml (16.9 fl.oz) of distilled water.
4. Start rinsing:

must be selected.
The hoses are automatically rinsed and emptied. This process takes approx. 8
minutes.
5. Once the action is finished, remove the hoses from the beaker and dry them with a
clean paper towel.
6. Place the ends of the hoses into an empty plastic beaker.
7. Purge the hoses again with air. Select:

Cleaning the cuvette and magnetic stir bar
Only clean the cuvette and magnetic stir bar when this is necessary. This is not part of
routine maintenance work.
Emptying the cuvette and removing it from the holder
1. If you have not already done so,
set the manual mode.
2.
Remove the cover in front of the cuvette assembly.
