To take out of service, proceed as follows:

1. Set the manual mode
2. Rinse the reagent and standard channels
3. Empty the sample channels
4. Empty the cuvette

12.3.1 Setting the manual mode

Initial situation: The device is still in the automatic mode and you now want to take the

device out of service.

1. Press the

MODE

soft key.

 The current mode is displayed:

Automatic

2. Select an action:

Manual mode

 The device changes to the manual mode.

3. Wait until all operations have stopped.
4.

Alternatively:

Stop actions currently running under:

Operation

Manual operation

5. Shut off the inflow of sample at the place of installation.
6. Remove the supply hoses from the push-in connectors on the filters. Smaller

amounts of sample may drip from the filters. Pay attention to liquid-sensitive devices

in the vicinity.

7. Unscrew the lids from the reagent bottles and standard.
8. Seal the reagent bottles and standard with the lids supplied.
9. Dry the ends of the hoses with a clean paper towel.

10. Remove the bottle tray: Lift up the recessed grip slightly and pull it towards the front.

12.3.2 Rinsing the reagent and standard channels

1. Place the ends of the hoses (RB, RK, RN, S) into an empty plastic beaker.
2. Purge the hoses with air. Select:

 The hoses are automatically purged with air and emptied. This process takes

several minutes.

3. Rinse the hoses with water: Immerse all hoses (RB, RK, RN, S) in a beaker with

approx. 500 ml (16.9 fl.oz) of distilled water.

4. Start rinsing:

must be selected.

 The hoses are automatically rinsed and emptied. This process takes approx. 8

minutes.

5. Once the action is finished, remove the hoses from the beaker and dry them with a

clean paper towel.

6. Place the ends of the hoses into an empty plastic beaker.
7. Purge the hoses again with air. Select:
