Installing the Filter/Flame arrestor (optional)
If you didn’t order a filter or flame arrestor, skip this section. If you ordered just
the flame arrestor option with no filter, the flame arrestor comes assembled onto
the end of the probe and no steps are required to install it. If you ordered the filter
with a flame arrestor, the flame arrestor comes installed inside the filter.
1. To install the filter onto the probe, do the following:
2. Unscrew the busing from the end of the probe, then screw the filter onto the
end of the probe and tighten - see Figure 3-1 for help.
3. Loosen the filter protector and slide it over the filter, extending the protector
approximately 1/2” (1.27cm) past the tip of the filter.
4. Alight the filter protector so the particulates will hit the protector rather than
the filter.
5. Tighten the protector clamps.
