Independent of type of recloser in loop control scheme, i.e., either recloser is
sectionalizing, mid-point or tie-point, the sources and phases will be similar to Figure 180.
The phase selection for the three modes is explained below.
The loop control is operated in 4 modes as “Sectionalize”, “Mid-point”, “Tie-point” or
“Disabled” in
LCM Mode setting.
The Line side src setting can be selected as “S1” or “S2” to select the respective source as
line side source. If the power is flowing from S1 to S2 then the Line side src is selected as
“S1” and vice versa. This is explained pictorially in Figure 181.

Once the line side source is selected the phases of the respective source is identified by
giving the number of voltage transformers connected to the respective source.
In case of sectionalizer mode, the Vt config line setting is selected with number of voltage
transformers connected. If the Vt config line is “1” or “2”,the Vt line phase setting is
