Install a new O-ring and the reservoir cap

, and then tighten the reservoir cap

to the specified torque.
Checking the PTT operation
1.
Fully tilt the outboard motor up and down
a few times and check that the outboard
motor tilts up and down smoothly. Check
the PTT fluid level if the tilt operation is
not smooth.
2.
Check the PTT unit for fluid leakage.
Checking propeller
1.
Check the propeller. See “Checking the

Adjusting the shift cable

Disconnect the shift cable, and then
adjust it. See “Installing the shift cable
