• Make sure to remove any grease from the
tapered portion

of the crankshaft and the
inner surface

of the flywheel magnet.
• Apply engine oil to the threads

of the fly-
wheel magnet nut and upper and lower sur-
faces

of the washer before installation.
7. Tighten the flywheel magnet nut to the
specified torque.
NOTICE: Apply force
in the direction of the arrow to prevent
the special service tool
C
from slip-
ping off easily.
8. Check the pulser coil air gap. See
“Checking the pulser coil air gap” (7-1).
