fault, contact your nearest customer service centre.

Solution
Upper thread is not threaded
correctly.
Upper thread
breaks
Rethread the upper thread.
Upper thread is tangled.
Remove the thread ends and
rethread the upper thread.
Also check the inside of the
hook for any pieces of thread.
Spool is not inserted correctly.
Insert the spool correctly.
Does it unwind easily? Carry
out a tension test, please see
“Practical tips” >
“Tension testing sewing thread
Incorrect needle in use.
Insert the correct needle. In
most cases, this is a Super
Stretch 90 (HAx 1SP) needle.
The metal needle plate is
damaged.
Sand the plate with fine emery
paper or replace it.
Hook race / metal needle plate
is damaged.
Lower thread
pills or breaks
Sand the parts with fine emery
paper or replace them.
Upper thread is tangled.
Lower thread
breaks
Remove the thread ends and
rethread the upper thread.
Check the hook system for
any pieces of thread.
Bobbin is not inserted or
threaded correctly in the hook
race.
Insert the bobbin correctly into
the hook race and pull out the
lower thread. Carry out the
tension test, see “Practical
tips” > “Tension testing sewing
thread”
Needle is not inserted
correctly.
Skipped
stitches
Insert the needle correctly.
