Using the upper thread to pull up the lower thread
What do I do with the lower thread?
3.
Press the
‹Needle Up / Needle Down›
button once.
!
The lower thread is pulled up.
4.
Pull the lower thread, which creates a loop, upwards by pulling the upper
thread up at a slight angle.
5.
Pull the upper and lower threads about 8 cm to the left.
!
It should be possible to pull both threads evenly and easily.
?
The threads cannot be pulled evenly and easily. This is caused
either by the spool unwinding badly or by inferior quality thread.
➔
Turn the spool and invert it on the spool pin.
➔
Always place the spool in a horizontal (lying) position.
➔
Only use W6 thread.
6.
Close the hook race with the plastic bobbin cover.
!
The bobbin cover is in the correct position if it clicks into
place when inserted.
» The lower thread has been taken up.
