11.15 Saving and sewing patterns,
deleting pattern sequences
The sewing machine’s program offers 186 patterns. In addition, there are 299
designs, letters, special characters and numerals (block letters, handwriting and
letter outlines that look like 3D writing) available with up to 9 mm stitch width,
which you can combine, save and sew in different versions. You can store up to
60 different patterns in one pattern sequence.
W6 note
Patterns 007 to 021, which are used to sew buttonholes, cannot be saved. A
maximum of 60 designs can be stored in the computer memory.
W6 note
Pattern sequences that have been created are not stored permanently. If you
switch off the sewing machine, all the stored sequences are lost.
11.15.1 Selecting and saving a pattern sequence
As an example of a pattern sequence we are going to write the name Anna in
upper case letters and sew the car design (#176).
W6 tip
Always place W6 stabiliser under the fabric so that the fabric is held in place and
the embroidery pattern produced is neat. Have you ever used our W6
multicoloured thread? You can achieve amazing effects with this.
Frequent sewers will find that the W6 titanium needles are particularly suitable for
embroidery.
Titanium needles are extremely durable and create perfect embroidery.
Prerequisite:

You have threaded the sewing thread properly, see “Threading the upper

Use a W6 Super Stretch 90 (HAx1SP) needle for stretch and non-
stretch fabrics or a W6 Super Stretch 75 (HAx1SP) needle for thinner
fabrics. If necessary, install a special needle.

You are using W6 plastic bobbins and thread tension-friendly and lint-free
W6 thread.
•
The presser foot that matches the pattern is installed.
