1.3.17. Settings of Multigas Module
The parameters of the gas analysis module are controlled using fields and icons in the window
of the graphical curves of the multigas channel:
Set gas parameters in the field of corresponding gas:
To change a parameter, click on the display field of its current value and select the required new
value in the window that appears after clicking.
If gas Ax1, Ax2 is selected, the device will automatically (option) detect anesthetics from HAL,
ISO, DES, SEV, ENF.
For devices without automatic anesthetic agent detection, the parameters

х1, Aх2 are not available for selection - the monitored anesthetic gases
must be set manually.
The waveforms are displayed only for gases selected in the window of digital parameters. CO
2
curve is always displayed on the screen and cannot be disabled.
Input of the 1MAC concentration values for each of the gases is intended to calculate the total
MAC value (minimum alveolar concentration). The MAC calculation is performed for those gas-
es that are displayed in the gas analysis curves output window and in the field of digital parame-
ters.
A detailed description of the multigas module parameters is presented in p. 2.5.8.
Default values: sweep speed - 6.2 mm / s; apnea interval
– 30 s; compensation of water vapor
pressure - 5 hectopascals; flow rate (optional) - 50 ml / min in the neonatal profile, 100 ml / min
in the pediatric profile and 150 ml / min in the adult profile.
