In case of failure, contact the customer service support to find the cause of the leakage and
eliminate it.
During tightness test, the path should be closed for a short time (< 7 - 8 s
and no more than once within 7 - 8 s), otherwise the module will automati-
cally shut down.
2.5.6. Drying of the Capnometer Pneumatic Path
Moisture in the measuring path of the capnometer can lead to the low measurement accuracy,
and in case of its significant amounts - to a complete disruption of the operation of the measur-
ing chamber due to fogging or formation of film.
To protect the measuring chamber from moisture, a number of measures are used, however,
during long-term operation with a high degree of moisture, a certain amount of moisture can
penetrate into the measuring path and further into the measuring chamber of the capnometer,
disrupting its operation.
For drying, it is necessary to disconnect the sampling line from the capnometer, turn on the
capnometer and let it run for 10 - 30 minutes.
If, even after several such repeated drying cycles, the operability is not restored, then disas-
sembly and cleaning of the optics of the measuring chamber of the capnometer or even its re-
placement is required, which can only be done under the conditions of a service center.
When working with a capnometer, use only dry sampling lines (no drops inside). During long-
term operation, in case of accumulation of condensate in the line and the formation of drops, it
shall be timely replaced with a new dry one, and the used one can be blown out and dried. Re-
member that the formation of drops inside the line can be identified by a capnometer as a oc-
clusion of the tract with the displaying of a corresponding message.
2.5.7. Purging of the Capnometer Pneumatic Path
In case of the pneumatic path occlusion, leading to the impossibility of its operation, it is neces-
sary, first of all, to determine the place where the occlusion occurred (the sampling line or the
pneumatic path inside the device). For this, disconnect the sampling line and turn on the cap-
nometer again. If the capnometer starts to work normally, there is an occlusion in the line and it
must be replaced with a new one or manually purged with a syringe (only to be performed when
the line is disconnected from the device!).
If the capnometer still displays a message about the occlusion and tries to purge the path again,
even when the sampling line is not connected, - the cause of the occlusion inside the device,
which can be eliminated under the conditions of the service center.
Always
disconnect the sample line before purging! It is FORBIDDEN to blow
through the line connected to the capnometer, because high pressure can
damage the elements of its pneumatic path!
