3.10 Continuous Non-Invasive Blood Pressure Measurement

Switching on the cNIBP mode and setting the parameters of its operation is carried out using
the fields and icons located in the cNIBP channel window:
3.10.5. Limitations of cNIBP Method
The method of continuous measurement of NIBP used in the device has some restrictions on
the conditions of its use.
The use of the continuous NIBP mode is available only at the adult profile
type. When using pediatric or neonatal profiles, it is not possible to enable
cNIBP mode.
When using the manual mode of measuring blood pressure, it is also impos-
sible to enable the cNIBP mode.
For the correct operation of the mode, it is necessary to have ECG, PPG, NIBP channels con-
nected to the patient and the availability of data on these channels.
In the case of asystole via the ECG channel or a weak signal via the PPG channel, the parame-
ters of the continuous NIBP mode are not calulated. For some types of arrhythmias that lead to
extremely unstable PWTT values, the calculation of cNIBP readings is also impossible.
Do use the cNIBP mode on patients with intense sharp and frequent changes
in blood pressure, because this can lead to frequent starts of NIBP meas-
urement for calibration purposes.
If it is impossible to calculate blood pressure by the continuous method, one of the following
messages will be displayed in the cNIBP window:
