2.3 Temperature Monitoring

2.3. TEMPERATURE MONITORING
There are two types of thermistor temperature sensors intended for the temperature monitoring:
surface (skin) (see it. 2.3.1);
intracavitary (universal) (it. 2.3.2).
For a reliable connection with the device, the sensor connectors have a
special design that automatically provides mechanical fixation.
So never try
to pull the cable
when disconnecting such a connector! To disconnect the
connector, grasp its housing and pull it.

Figure 2-16. Window of the temperature channels in the modes
Т2 (left) and Т1-Т2 (right)
The device has two independent channels for measuring T°C, so it is possible to simultaneously
measure the temperature at two points (for example, the central and surface temperature of the
patient's body). For this purpose, the device is equipped with surface and intracavity tempera-
ture sensors.
The device starts to measure the temperature when temperature sensors are connected to the
corresponding connectors of the device, while any of the indicated sensors can be connected to
any of these connectors (if a sensor is not connected to any connector, the symbols “ - -, - " are
indicated).
For temperature channel 2, measurement results are displayed in temperature mode for chan-
nel 2 or in temperature difference mode for channels 1 and 2 (see it. 1.3.15 and Fig. 2-16). If the
symbols “- -, -” are displayed at least on one of the channels, then in the mode of displaying the
temperature di
fference, “- -, -” will also be displayed.
The device can measure temperature with a specified error in the range of 0 ... 50 ºС. When the
temperature goes beyond this range, the symbols “- -, -” are displayed instead of the tempera-
ture values.
You can set top and bottom alarm thresholds for any temperature channel individually and in-
dependently (see p. 1.3.10 and Figure 2-16).
