1. Remove bedbar; refer to
Removing the Bedbar (page 7–6)

2. Remove the lock nut, compression spring and washer from the bedbar
adjuster screw.
Note:
The bedbar adjuster shaft has left-hand threads.
3. Unscrew the bedbar adjuster shaft from the bedbar adjuster screw.
4. Remove the retaining ring and wave washer from the adjuster shaft and
remove the adjuster shaft.
5. Inspect the flange bushings in the cutting unit side plate and replace them
if necessary.
6. Inspect the detent and replace it if necessary.
Installing the Bedbar Adjuster
1. If previously removed, secure the detent to the side plate.
2. If previously removed, align the key on the flange bushings to the slots in the
cutting unit frame and install.
3. Slide adjuster shaft into flange bushings and secure with wave a washer
and a retaining ring.
Note:
The bedbar adjuster shaft has left-hand threads.
4. Apply anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the bedbar adjuster screw that
fit into adjuster shaft (the left hand threads) and thread the bedbar adjuster
screw into the adjuster shaft.
