1. Remove the front traction gear box; refer to
.
2. Loosen the hex nuts and adjust the eye bolt as far as possible to relax the
extension spring. Remove the spring.
3. Use the 3/8 inch square drive hole in the right side upper brake arm (item
8) to fully retract the brake actuator.
4. Remove the support link (item 1).
5. Remove the brake return spring.
6. Remove the cotter pin and the clevis pin from the clevis to disconnect the
brake linkage from the brake lever. Discard the cotter pin.
7. Remove the shoulder bolt (item 8) securing the brake lever to the wheel
motor housing.
8. Remove the brake lever and shaft from the wheel motor housing.
9. Slide the brake rotor and brake caliper assembly from the motor housing.
10. Clean and inspect the parts for wear or damage.

The minimum brake pad thickness is 2.8 mm (0.110 inch)
