The 2 cutting unit lift/lower switches are located on the joystick bracket attached
to the operator console. The rear switch is used to lower the cutting units and
the front switch is used to lift the cutting units. The switches are identical. Each
switch includes a common terminal, a normally open terminal and a normally
closed terminal. The cutting unit lift/lower switches are part of the safety interlock
system; refer to
Checking the Interlock System Operation (page 5–19)
for a
better understanding of how the switches are used.
Testing the Cutting Unit Lift/Lower Switches
The cutting unit lift/lower switches and their circuit wiring can be tested using the
InfoCenter Display; refer to
Using the InfoCenter Display for Troubleshooting
(page 3–39)
. If testing determines that either switch or the circuit wiring are not
functioning correctly, proceed with the following test procedure:
1.
Park the machine on a level surface, lower the cutting units, set the key
switch is in the OFF position and remove the key.
