4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 if you want to activate the Trial License for another Trial License
Period.
Note
You can only activate the next Trial License period after the previous period has expired.
After the 3rd Trial License Period period has expired, alarm A13033 "Last trial license
period expired" is output. Additional trial license periods can now no longer be activated.
When a Trial License Period ends, the next time that the system runs up, a lock (inhibit)
becomes active. You require a full license if you wish to use the SINAMICS S120 or the
associated subfunctions.
5. Proceed as follows if you wish to continue to operate SINAMICS S120 or specific
subfunctions afterwards:
–
Purchase a full license for the affected subfunctionalities.
– Generate a new License Key (see Chapter "Creating a license key (Page 945)").
– Enter the new License Key (see Chapter "Displaying/entering the License Key
(Page 947)").
13.3.4 Creating a license key
The WEB License Manager informs you about how many and which licenses are assigned to
your memory card. If you need additional licenses, you can create a new license key using
the WEB License Manager and assign it to your memory card.
Note
A new license is not required for upgrading the firmware. Therefore, do not delete the license
key from the memory card (..\KEYS\SINAMICS\KEYS.txt) if you want to upgrade.
The following information is required to work with the "WEB License Manager":
● Serial number for the memory card
The serial number is on the memory card or can be copied from the license overview.
● License number and delivery note number of the license (shown on the Certificate of
License)
● Product name
