Frame Synchronization

MediorNet is synchronous working platform. In a network is one Frame defined as Sync-Master and the
other Frames are Sync-Slaves and will be synchronized to the master’s clock. If no external clock is supplied
to the network and all Frames are set to the same priority, the Frame with the highest hardware ID takes care
about the clock distribution (see also chapter
Synchronization
).

Frame
The name of the Frame is displayed in this field.
Sync. State
Master locked
Frame has a sync source connected to sync in and has highest priority in the
MediorNet. Frame runs synchronized to a direct connected Audio or Video sync
source.
Master locking
Frame has a sync source connected to sync in and has highest priority in the
MediorNet. Frame found a direct connected Audio or Video sync source and is
in synchronization procedure.
Master freerun
Frame has highest priority in the MediorNet. No Frame in the MediorNet is
connected to a sync source.
Slave
Frame runs synchronous to the MediorNet Master. Frame has not the highest
priority in MediorNet or no sync source is directly connected to it.
Sync. Error
Sync Lost
Sync Lost appears on the sync master when it detects an error in the sync signal
during it is locked to it. Frames with
Sync Lost indication get lower priority than
all other Frames excepting Frames with priority
none to avoid the switchback if
the Sync come back.
The error detection can be set back by pressing the
Restore Sync. Priorities
button.
