Timecode
MediorNet supports 3 timecode sources:
LTC
An external LTC signal needs to be connected to an Audio Channel (Audio Mono Channel,
AES, MADI, ...). This Channel needs to be routed to the LTC-Channel at the Sync Master.
LTC Channels are in:
MN-Modular
-> XSS-16
-> Channel 6
MN-Compact
-> Main Module
-> Channel 1
VITC
An external Sync Signal (Blackburst) with integrated VITC needs to be connected to the Sync
In Port at the Sync Master.
Internal
If LTC and VITC are not available at the Sync Master, MediorNet generates the Timecode
internally.
Any Sync
Out port configured for PAL or NTSC will carry the timecode.
The source of the timecode is displayed in the
Frame Synchronization View
in the column TC-Source and in
the row of the Sync Master.
Multiple timecode sources can be connected simultaneously but only one timecode is used for the system.
The system automatically uses the timecode signal with the highest priority.
1
LTC (highest priority)
2
VITC
3
Internal (if no external timecode signal available
