MATRIX
5.8.4.6
By choosing this menu item the MATRIX-window is opened in a separate window independent of the actual
Workspace.
The MATRIX offers a convenient way to create connections from the source to the destination. Before the
user is able to configure connections, it is necessary to assign all required ports to user groups. The definition
of these groups is done in the
GROUP-Editor
. This window is open by pushing the button
Open Group Editor.
Figure 346: MATRIX - window
The already created groups can be chosen for each the source and the destination by a drop down menu.
The ports assigned in the selected group are displayed in the source region in rows and in the destination
region in columns. The source and the destination group shape the matrix.
The different signal types in the selected groups are automatically separated in tabs like Video, Audio, AES
etc. These signal types can be chosen in tabs on the top of the matrix. A connection can be easily created by
double-click on the crosspoint and is only possible within the same signal type. An established connection is
indicated by an icon in this crosspoint (see chapter
Icons
). Not embedded Video-Out-SubChannels (Audio
mono channels) are displayed by orange letters.
If the checkbox
Locked is enabled before creating a connection, the connection is protected against a single
click delete. In this case a confirmation window will open before the connection is deleted.
