Matrix
A third way of routing is to set crosspoints in the
MATRIX
. Before setting crosspoints in the matrix it is
necessary to define user groups in the
GROUP EDITOR
. Please refer to the respective chapters for the
detailed description.

Repeat the steps to create all required connections.
For some transport signals, for example MADI, it is possible to create a bidirectional connection. If required
check the checkbox
BIDIRECTIONAL before creating your connection. Otherwise the connection is established
only from SOURCE towards DESTINATION.
If you have checked the checkbox
LOCKED on the bottom of the DEVICE BROWSER before creating the
connection, the connection is protected against a single click delete. If a connection is locked and you try to
delete it, a window will pop up and ask for confirmation before the connection will be deleted. An already
created connection can be protected in the CONNECTIONS windows by selecting the respective
LOCKED
checkbox.
For the routing you don’t need to take care about the network topology. MediorNet detects all attached
Frames automatically and calculates the shortest route.
