If the IP-addresses are unknown, you can identify the Frames with the tool “MediorNet-
Finder” (see chapter
Frame Address Properties / MediorNet Finder
). In this tool you are also able
to change the IP-addresses.

MediorWorks Structure
On the top is the menu bar. Every single menu item of MediorWorks is described in chapter
Menus of
MediorWorks Software
.

Below the menus you see the present Workspaces. In every Workspace you find different windows for
different functions. By default 3 different Workspaces (CONNECTIONS, TOPOLOGY and ALARMS) are present.
By switching these Workspaces you can toggle between the different views. You are also able to setup more
Workspaces with your desired windows. This topic is handled in chapter
Workspace
.

In the bottom right corner of each Workspace is a table of the MediorNet Modular Frame slots displayed.
Here the numbering of each slot (1 to 10) and the fixed positions of the Processing Card (MN-XSS) and the
power supply. Also the positions of the two “Low-Speed-Slots” 3 and 8 is shown.

The status bar is located on the bottom of the window.
On the left side are listed the last status messages of the system and the time of occurring. The latest
message is on the top and always visible. Older messages can be displayed by left-click on the drop down
symbol.

Right beside the status messages is the enable/disable button of the "Unstable Link". If enabled and if a link
is unstable, a popup-window with detailed information appears.
