Introduction
This section describes the VU-ACD/100 Maintenance Utilities. Most of these utilities run without inter-
rupting normal ACD MIS data collection. The instructions in this section describe how to perform the
functions available through the Maintenance Menu.
2.1
Maintenance Menu
The VU-ACD/100 Maintenance Menu is intended for use by trained and certified technicians when
performing preventive and corrective maintenance on the ACD MIS. Access to this menu requires
switching to an alternate UNIX window at the VU-ACD/100 host, logging in as the
maint
user and
entering a password. The contents of the Maintenance Menu is graphically depicted in Figure 2.1.

The Maintenance Menu cannot be accessed via a VU-ACD/100 remote terminal.
