a. Check Link Log (Maintenance Menu) and System
Log (Administration Menu) for error messages.
b. Check that power is available to both PAD and
modem. View status indicators on PAD to see if
data is being transmitted.

Check hardware connection from DigiBoard to
PAD.
d. If synchronous modems are used, verify modem
operation.
e. Verify PAD configuration (Maintenance Menu).
f. Request Switch Initialization (Maintenance Menu).
g. Contact DMS-100 switch technician and verify
MPC operation and protocol configuration.
h. Reprogram PAD.
