Pressing the
Esc
key removes the message from the Real-Time Display. MultiLink is designed to allow
ACD MIS functions to continue as long as one or more data links are available. However, if a data link
is reestablished but datafill parameters (DMS-100) or provisioning (5ESS) have changed and
cannot be reconciled via Load Management or Recent Change/Verify messages, MultiLink will
reinitialize all data links in the system.
3.2.3.2
Disk Usage Alarm
VU-ACD/100 continually archives report data and checks disk usage. As the disk approaches full
capacity, one of five levels of disk capacity warnings in the form of broadcast messages may appear on
host and remote terminal Real-Time Displays. Each message indicates the actual percentage of disk
space used. In addition to being broadcast to all terminals, disk space warning messages are time-
stamped and sent to the system process log file.
Level 1
When the disk reaches 75% filled capacity, the following warning message
showing the actual percent used appears:
Disk Space Warning Level 1 (77%)
Press Esc key to continue
The system continues to receive, process and store incoming data. When disk
space drops below 75% filled, the following message appears:
Disk Space Usage Acceptable Again (68%)
Press Esc key to continue
Level 2
When the disk reaches 85% filled capacity, the following warning message
showing the actual percent used appears:
Disk Space Warning Level 2 (86%)
Press Esc key to continue
The system continues to receive, process and store incoming data. When disk
space drops below 85% filled, the following message appears:
Disk Space Returned to Level 1 (81%)
Press Esc key to continue
Level 3
When the disk reaches 90% filled capacity, the following warning message
showing the actual percent used appears:
DISK SPACE WARNING LEVEL 3 (91%)
Please Export and Purge Data
Press Esc key to continue
