1.1 Construction and Function
The 1C66 Triton smart ankle prosthetic foot is equipped with a hydraulic ankle unit that is con
trolled by a microprocessor. The required control data are captured during movements by
sensors in the integrated Europa™ pyramid and in the ankle joint.
Through changes in plantar flexion and dorsal flexion, the prosthetic foot adapts to changing
ground conditions and walking speeds. The adjustment range also makes adaptation to various
heel heights possible. The relief function makes a natural foot position possible while sitting.
The functional properties of the prosthetic foot are achieved through the carbon spring elements
and high-performance polymer. The prosthetic foot permits perceptible plantar flexion at heel
strike and a natural rollover movement. Stored energy is released by the functional elements.
Galileo™ app
The prosthetic foot is operated and the settings are adjusted using the Galileo™ app. Bluetooth®
wireless technology is used to establish the connection between the prosthetic foot and the app.
The app is available free of charge for Android and iOS. A list of compatible devices can be
requested from Ottobock.
