Starting the NT11S
When the NT11S is started, it will enter the RUN mode if system settings and
screen data registration have been completed. If no screen data has been regis-
tered or the screen data are destroyed, the System Menu will be displayed.
Before turning ON the power, check the following DIP switch settings on the
NT11S.
S
SW2-2 “Screen data forced initialize effective/ineffective” is set to OFF (ineffec-
tive).
S
DIP SW2-6, “system pragram erase”, is OFF.
For the DIP switch settings of the unit, refer to the “DIP switch settings” (page 20).

Changing the System Settings etc.
Follow the procedure below to change the system settings or screen data con-
tents.
Procedure 1.
Switch on the power to the NT11S with two function keys held down to display
the System Menu, then change the system settings. For the method for calling
the System Menu, refer to the “Operations with the System Menu” (page 46).
If the NT11S has failed to start up normally; an error message is displayed or no
screen is displayed, memory needs to be initialized.
For the memory initializing procedure, refer to Section 3-4 Initializing memory
(page 48).
