Responding to Displayed Error Messages
When the NT11S displays one of the messages indicated below, determine the
cause by referring to the table below, and take the action indicated in the “Remedy”
column.

Errors Occurring when the Power is Switched ON
The table below shows the errors than can occur when the power is switched ON.

Connecting To Host
Memory switch setting is incorrect.
Check the communication settings by using the
“memory switch” option in the maintenance mode, and
match the setting of the PC and NT11S.
(Refer to 3-7 “Setting the Conditions of Communica-
tion with the PC by Using the Memory Switches (page
57).)
The NT11S and PC are not correctly
connected to each other.
Check that the type and length of the connecting
cable, and the wiring method, conform with the specifi-
cations.
(Refer to 2-4 “Connection to a PC by the Host Link
(RS-232C Type)” (page 26) and 2-5 “Connection to a
PC by the Host Link (RS-422A Type)” (page 31).)
In the case of a host link connection,
the PC’s terminal resistor setting is
incorrect.
Correct the PC’s terminal resistor setting.
(Refer to 2-4 “Connection to a PC by the Host Link
(RS-232C Type)” (page 26) and 2-5 “Connection to a
PC by the Host Link (RS-422A Type)” (page 31).)

for the PT status control area and PT
status notify area.
Use the support tool to set the head words of the PT
status control area and PT status notify area in the
screen data, then transfer the screen data again.
There is no screen data.
Transfer the screen data from the support tool.
Screen Data Corrupted
There is an error in the registered
screen data.
Transfer the screen data from the support tool again
after initializing the screen data memory in the mainte-
nance mode.
