4-6 Numeral Setting
The NT11S features a numeral setting function which makes it easy to input nu-
merical value on the screen.
4-6-1 The Numeral Setting Function
The numeral setting function is used to enter numerical values directly into a nu-
meral memory table from the screen. Screen upgrading and PC notification are
executed simultaneously.
Numerical values are input from the screen by using the numeric keys. A maxi-
mum of 8 numeral settings can be registered for one screen.
Basic Procedure The procedure for numeral setting is as follows.
(1) Input the numerical value using numeric keys.
(2) The input numerical value is displayed in the numeral setting area on the
screen.
(3) Confirm the input numerical value (by pressing the [ENTER] key); it will be
written to the numeral memory table, and simultaneously notified to the PC.

If there is more than one numeral setting area, the one in which the numerical val-
ue is to be input can be selected by using
, , , or key.
If the numeral setting area is changed during numerical value input (before press-
ing the “ENTER” key), the numerical value being input is invalidated.
To clear a numerical value, press the [CLR] key.
Restrictions on Input Using the numeral setting function, decimal values of up to 8 digits (7 digits if a
negative value) can be input.
The number of digits and area for the numeral setting function are set using the
support tool.
It is also possible to set the following attributes:
Number of integer digits: 1 to 8
Number of decimal fraction digits: 0 to 7
Type of character:
Half-size characters
Character enlargement: Horizontal x2
Sign display designation
Zero suppress designation
