23.4 Visual Feedback on Your Keyboard
The fast bidirectional communication between your KOMPLETE KONTROL S-SERIES keyboard
and the Hardware Service on the software side allows status indications on your keyboard to be
made in real time.
Your KOMPLETE KONTROL S-SERIES keyboard provides you visual feedback in various ways:
▪
The displays show you the name of the current Template along with the assignment names
and values for Knobs 1–8 above them.
▪
The Light Guide (above the keys) mirrors for each key the color of the Key Zone it belongs
to and indicates which keys are played.
▪
The Touch Strips include LED chains that inform you about their assignment value.
▪
The buttons in the TRANSPORT section, although not assignable to any MIDI message,
keep you informed about their state in the target DAW.
Each of these is described more in detail in the following sections.
