3.2.17 Sync Signal Setting in VIEW mode (EST VIEW)
In case of the EST mode, the images are not captured unless the external signal is input to the camera
basically. EST VIEW allows you to switch the sync signal between the internal clock signal and the external
sync signal for the live image display in VIEW. For example, if you set EST VIEW at OFF, it allows you to
monitor the live images in VIEW using internal clock signal even if the external signal is not input (not ready)
to the camera.
EST VIEW OFF
：
Live images are synchronized with the internal clock signal in VIEW.
When you turn to ARM and REC, the sync signal is switched to the external sync
signal from the internal clock signal.
EST VIEW ON
：
Live images are synchronized with the external sync signal in VIEW.
i.e. The sync signal is always the external sync signal in the VIEW, ARM and REC.
1) In the STOP mode, press MENU to enter the TOP
MENU.
2) Use the up/down keys to select "SYS MENU" from
the TOP MENU, and then press SET to enter the SYS
MENU.
3) Use the up/down keys to select “EST VIEW “from the
SYS MENU (Figure 3-47).
4) Use the left/right keys to select the synchronized
signal setting at VIEW mode.
OFF Internal clock sync in VIEW.
ON EST sync in VIEW.

If the EST mode is used under the condition that the Time Stamp is "OFF" and the Frame
Counter Display is "TIME" or "ABS.TIME", the time is not displayed as follows.
