The deep burst-traffic token
bucket is configured.
The bucket is deep and the passing traffic is larger than the
configured limitation rate traffic. You can decrease the token
bucket depth or increase the passing time of the packet to get
the correct rate limitation traffic.
Fault 8: After applying EVC POLICY, the port cannot communicate.
Possible Reasons
Judging Methods and Solutions
The data flow does not match with the EVC
POLICY of the port.
Capture packets to analyze whether the
inner/out TAG and DOT1P of the packet are
consistent with the configured EVC POLICY.
You can apply multiple EVC policies on one
port. The policy priority decreases by the
configuration order. One item of dropping
all packets of the port is hidden in the end.
When the port receives one packet, match
from the policy with high priority backward.
If matching one policy, take the action
specified by evc-action. If all policies
configured by the user are not matched,
match the last drop policy.
To let the un-matching data flow pass, you need
to configure one policy of matching all packets
of the port in the end (the inner/out VLAN and
priority are all configured as any). The evc-
action parameter specifies one un-existing action
group or one existing action group without
meter mode.
Fault 9: After configuring QoS, the VoIP and IPTV video services cannot
run normally.

The QoS configuration does
not ensure enough
bandwidth for the VoIP and
video data.
If the video service can be recovered after expanding the
bandwidth for the VoIP and video data, expand the video data
bandwidth to solve the problem.
The QoS configuration does
not ensure enough burst-
traffic for the VoIP and video
data.
The VoIP and video data has high requirement for burst-traffic.
If the video service can be recovered after modification,
configure one reasonable burst traffic value. 12716byte is
recommended.
The QoS configuration does
not ensure enough priority
for the VoIP and video data.
The problem appears when the network is blocked. You can
remark high priority for the data to ensure the priority
forwarding.
