Fault 2: The tunnel packet cannot recover to the protocol packet after
reaching the edge switch.
Possible Reasons
Judging Methods and Solutions
1.
The configured
destination multicast
MAC addresses of the
tunnel packets on the
two switches on which
L2PC is enabled are
inconsistent.
Use the show l2protocol-control trap-mac command to
check whether l2protocol-control tunnel-dmac is configured the
same on the two switches in the global configuration mode. If
not, use the l2protocol-control tunnel-dmac command to
modify the destination multicast MAC configured on the two
switches to be consistent.
2.
The port that needs to
recovers to the
protocol packet is not
in the VLAN that
transmits the tunnel
packets.
Use the show vlan command to view whether the port that
needs to recover to the protocol packet belongs to the VLAN
that transmits the tunnel packets. If not, modify the
configuration and add the port to the VLAN that transmits the
tunnel packets.
3.
The port that needs to
recover to the protocol
packet belongs to the
VLAN that transmits
the tunnel packets, but
the L2PC Tunnel of the
protocol is not enabled.
Use the show l2protocol-control port command to view
whether the port that needs to recover to the protocol packet
is enabled with L2PC Tunnel. If not, configure the L2PC
TUNNEL function of the protocol on the port.
Fault 3: The port is enabled with STP/LACP/DOT.1X, but cannot receive
the protocol packets of the peer party.
Possible Reasons
Judging Methods and Solutions
L2PC Discard and Tunnel
functions are enabled on the
port.
Use the show run port xx command to view whether the port
is enabled with L2PC Discard and Tunnel functions. Modify the
configuration and remove the L2PC Discard and Tunnel
functions on the port.
Fault 4: The port is automatically shutdown after being connected to
network cable.
Possible Reasons
Judging Methods and Solutions
The port is configured with
the L2PC Tunnel function of
the protocol. After becoming
up, the port receives the
tunnel packets of the
protocol.
Use the show port xx status err-disabled command to view
whether the port is L2PC shutdown. If yes, check why the peer
switch sends the tunnel packets or modify the network
connection.
