In this phase, the DD packets are exchanged. The MTU filed in the DD
packet is of great importance. If the MTUs at two sides are different, the
packets will be discarded and the opposite DD packets cannot be received
and thus the preceding status remains unchanged. In this case, you need
to check whether the MTU configurations are the same.
Basic Idea of OSPF Route
Troubleshooting
Step 1: Check whether the routing table generates relevant routes.
Step 2: If the core has no relevant routes, check whether the OSPF
routing table has the relevant routes.
Step 3: If the OSPF routing table has relevant routes but the core does not
have, check whether the route filtering is configured to prevent adding
routes to the core.
Step 4: If OSPF routing table does not have relevant routes, check
whether the OSPF database has relevant route LSA.
Step 5: Calculate the route to the destination through the relevant LSA.
Tools for Removing OSPF Faults
Maipu switch provides many tools for finding OSPF faults. The show tools
and the debug tools are as follows.
