shorter on the port.
Fault 5: The client is connected to one switch on which 802.1x is enabled
via one switch and dials, but there is no response.
Possible Reasons

Maybe the switch does not
enable eapol-relay or does
not support the eapol-relay
function.
When the client begins to authenticate, it sends one eap-start
multicast packet to search for the authentication device that
supports 802.1x. If one switch is connected between the client
and the switch on which 802.1x is enabled, it is required that
the switch can transmit the eap-start packets transparently.
Enable the eapol-relay function on the switch and you can get
the response of the authentication device.
Fault 6: Auto VLAN cannot deliver successfully.
Possible Reasons
Judging Methods and Solutions
The device works in the
MAC-based authentication
mode or there is no desired
vlan id on the device.
View whether the authentication device works in the port-
based authentication mode. If not, change it to work in the
port-based authentication mode. Besides, view whether there
is the desired vlan id on the device. You can perform the dialup
authentication normally and deliver the corresponding vlan id
only when there is the desired vlan id on the device.
Fault 7: Guest VLAN does not take effect.

The port type and access
control mode are configured
inconsistently so that geust
VLAN does not take effect.
If the access control mode of the device is port-based, the
Guest VLAN function can take effect only on the access port
and the other types of ports do not support.
If the access control mode of the device is MAC-based, the
Guest VLAN function can take effect only on the hybrid port
and the other types of ports do not support.
When the port type is
hybrid, MAC-VLAN is not
enabled.
When the pprt type is hybird, the device control access mode
must be MAC-based and MAC-VLAN ENABLE must be enabled.
The configured GUEST VLAN
is the dynamic VLAN.
Guest VLAN cannot be applied on the dynamic VLAN. For
example, if the vlan id specified by Guest VLAN is the vlan
automatically created by gvrp, Guest VLAN does not take
effect.
