E-LMI is not enabled on the
device.
Use the show ethernet lmi parameters command to view
whether e-lmi is enabled on the port of the device. If total=0 is
displayed, it indicates that e-lmi is not enabled on the port and
you need to enable e-lmi
:
ethernet lmi global globally or
enable elmi
:
ethernet lmi port on one single port.
The E-LMI mode of the
device is not normal.
Use the show ethernet lmi parameters command to view
whether the E-lmi mode of the device is normal. One must be
PE and the other must be CE. Get the EVC information of PE on
CE. By default, the device is PE. To modify to CE, you need to
configure ethernet lmi ce.
The UNI-N port of PE is not
bound to EVC correctly.
Use the show run port command to view whether the port
that is connected to CE is bound to EVC normally. If not, add
evc qinq bind XX active on the port.
The physical connection
between PE and CE is down.
Use the show port command to view whether the port status
between PE and CE is up. If it is down, check whether the
cable between the two ports is correct.
Fault 2: The port of PE cannot be bound to EVC normally.
Possible Reasons
Judging Methods and Solutions
The port mode is not
correct.
You can bind EVC only to the hybrid or trunk port. If the port is
the access mode, you need to modify the port mode to trunk or
hybrid.
The etherner uni-type of the
port does not matches with
the bound EVC.
If port 0/0 uni-type is conflict with the qinq-mode or ce-
vlan total of evc 11 is prompted when binding EVC to the
port, it indicates that uni-type of the port does not match with
EVC.
Bundling: Multiple EVCs can be bound to UNI; each EVC can
map with multiple CE-VLAN IDs;
Multiplexing: Multiple EVCs can be bound to UNI, but each
EVC can map with only one CE-VLAN ID;
All to one Bundling: One UNI can be bound to one EVC and
all CE-VLAN IDs are mapped to the EVC;
The bound EVC of the port
does not exist.
When the PE port is bound to EVC, the EVC must be created. If
the following prompt information appears when binding the PE
port to EVC, it indicates that the EVC is not created:
RH02_199.3(config-port-0/0)#evc qinq bind ee a
evc ee does not exist!
Here, you need to create the EVC first.
