The proxy port is configured.
Use the show ip igmp proxy upstream vlan xx command
to view whether the member ports are configured as the proxy
ports. The multicast group records are not formed at the proxy
ports.
ACL filters the IGMP reports.
Use the show acl-object command to view the ACL
configuration on the switch, whether the IGMP reports are
filtered.
The address of the receiving
group is wrong.
When the above steps are correct, view whether the address of
the receiving group is consistent with the address of the
sending group at the server.
Other problems
If the receiver still cannot receive the multicast flow, confirm
whether the configuration of the upstream multicast router is
correct and whether the receiving software of the receiver
works correctly.
Fault 2: The receiver does not order, but also can receive the multicast
data. The multicast data flow is broadcasted in one VLAN.
Possible Reasons
Judging Methods and Solutions
It is not configured to drop
the unknown multicast.
Use the show run vlan xx command on the switch to view
whether l2-multicast drop-unknown is configured. If IPMC
forwarding mode is used, view whether l3-multicast drop-
unknown is configured.
Other possible reasons
Refer to fault 1.
Fault 3: The multicast data flow cannot be received after configuring MVR.
Possible Reasons
Judging Methods and Solutions
MVR does not take effect.
Use the show ip igmp snooping group command on the
switch to view the VLAN attributes of the member ports, as
follows:
switch#show ip igmp snooping groups
Use the show mvr command to view MVR VLAN, as follows:
switch#show mvr
MVR status:enable
multicast-vlan: 111
If the VLAN attributes of the member port are inconsistent with
MVR VLAN, you need to view whether the port connected to
the client belong to its own VLAN and MVR VLAN (such as
VLAN 111) at the same time and is untagged port. The pvid is
the same as its own VLAN.
The VLAN attributes of the
packets entering from the
route port are wrong.
Execute the show ip igmp snooping mrouter command on
the switch to view which VLAN the route port belongs, as
follows:
switch# show ip igmp snooping mrouter
Vlan SourceAddr Ports
