Obtaining the TPS signal on a vehicle equipped with an electronic throttle body:
Locate the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) to the TPS/motor connector.
Disconnect the TPS harness from the TPS or throttle and remove the loom from the harness.
Locate the TPS signal wire 1. This is one of the two wires that relay the throttle position signal to the ECM.
Splice a wire onto the TPS signal wire.
Use the labeled wire from the NCC-001 wiring harness or crimp a terminal to the other end of the wire that was
spliced into the TPS signal wire 1 in the last step.
Insert the terminal end of the wire into the "TPS Input" terminal on the NCC-001.
Re-install the loom back onto the harness
Re-connect the TPS harness to the TPS.
Program the
on the NCC-001 controller.
