Replacement of Consumables
When ink or paper is empty, the message will be displayed. Replace consumables according to the message.
Ink Container Replacement
When ink is empty, the following message will be displayed.
"Ink [C][M][Y][K] are empty."
When ink runs low, the following message will be displayed. Make sure you have a new ink container available for
replacement.
"Ink is low. [C][M][Y][K] (Replace when empty.)"
Installation procedures of the ink container is same for every color. Here, we'll explain the procedures for the yellow ink
container, as an example.

Open the front cover 3.
IMPORTANT
Store ink containers in an environment of 82.4 to 86 °F (28 to 30 °C). Keep the temperature at 25°C before
replacing.
IMPORTANT
To keep the print head in good condition, all colors of ink will be consumed even when printing is not taking
place due to head cleaning and other maintenance actions.
NOTE
• For the ink container, always use a genuine ink container. Using a ink container that is not genuine may cause
image defects and product failure.
• The memory chip in the ink container of this product stores information necessary for improving customer
convenience, operation of the recycling system for used ink container, and planning and development of new
products. The stored information does not include information that makes it possible to identify individuals, and is
only used anonymously for the above purposes.
