Possible cause
Remedy
FMI 7: The net stops during activated tying. The net tears off after the starting process or dur-
ing tying.
The roll brake has been set
with too much force.
Check the setting of the roll brake.
The cutting unit has lowered
into the net.
Remove contamination from the cutting unit.
Check the setting of the cutting unit.
Check whether the cutting unit is engaged/clamped during
the feed process.
The cutting unit has not en-
gaged.
The cutting unit has been set
too deep.

Possible cause
Remedy
FMI 7: The film stops during activated tying. The film tears off after the starting process or dur-
ing tying.
The brake discs have not
been set correctly.
Reduce the braking effect of the brake discs, see chapter
Maintenance, “Checking and setting the braking effect of the
brake discs”.
The cutting unit has lowered
into the film.
Remove contamination from the cutting unit.
Check the setting of the cutting unit.
Check whether the cutting unit is engaged/clamped during
the feed process.
The cutting unit has not en-
gaged.
The cutting unit has been set
too deep.
The rotational speed is too
high.
Check the rotational speed. It must not be higher than 540
rpm.

Net wrapping
Possible cause
Remedy
FMI 7: The net is running even though tying has not been started.
The net is pulled during bal-
ing.
Intensify the tension of the spring for the wrapping material
brake, see chapter Settings, “Setting the wrapping material
brake”.
The net is too far in the bale
channel.
Check the net overhang.
Check sensor B61 “Tying 1 (passive)” and set the feed
position,

Possible cause
Remedy
FMI 7: The film is running even though tying has not been started.
The film overhang is too long.
Check the film overhang. Make sure it is max. 250 mm.
Check and set the braking effect of the brake discs, see
chapter Maintenance, “Checking and setting the braking
effect of the brake discs”.
