CONTROLBUF 130 — Custom Header Pages
CONTROLBUF 130 allows a custom header page to be composed by using special
sequences embedded in a Spooler FONT job. Although a custom header page might
be used to replace the standard banner page(s), the custom header page is actually
independent of the standard banner page. The standard banner(s) can still be
produced in addition to any custom page(s).
Based on parameters supplied with CONTROLBUF 130, a FASTP network print
process can construct a header from any of the following:
Text given in the CONTROLBUF call.
Text based upon selected Spooler attributes (such as REPORT name).
Text retrieved from a key sequenced file.
In addition, a FASTP network print process can be instructed to emit this text as
expanded characters in a similar style to that used on the Spooler banner pages.
The syntax of CONTROLBUF 130 is:
where
item
is a single byte indicating the item that the FASTP print process should either emit
as text or use as a key for file access. The
item
field can have any of the decimal
values described in
Table 2-9
.
