EMS Messages
The messages in this section are generated by the FASTP network print processes.
These messages fall into two categories: EMS event messages, which are generated
by FASTPTCP processes beginning with the G06.10 and D48.02 Release Version
Updates (RVUs), and EMS 512 text messages, which are generated by previous
versions of FASTPTCP and all the other FASTP network print processes.
Each message description includes the text of the message, descriptions of the
parameters reported by the message, and a description of the cause, effect, and
recovery.
These messages fall into three categories:
Informational messages. Informational messages provide notification that some
processing has occurred; no corrective action is necessary.
Warning messages. Warning messages usually concern a single Spooler device or
job. Printing on other devices is not affected. The FASTP network print process
continues processing after the error.
Fatal Messages. Fatal messages indicate a problem from which the FASTP
network print process cannot recover. Following the output of these messages, the
FASTP network print process abends.
If you cannot resolve the problem with the information in this section, you should
contact your service provider as described in
Troubleshooting and Reporting Problems
