Processes
Spooler FASTP Network Print Processes Manual — 427528-006
2 - 8
Configuring a FASTP Network Print Process in the
Spooler Subsystem
DEVTYPE
Specifies the type of the printer being used. The supported values
vary based on the specific FASTP network print process being
implemented. Some FASTP network print processes use default
device subtypes. See the product-specific sections of this manual
about which subtypes are supported by each FASTP network print
process product.
DRAIN
Causes the printer to go offline after the job currently printing is
finished. The effect of DRAIN is the same as that of any other Spooler
printer.
ENDFF
Specifies whether the print process issues a form feed at the end of
each job. The effect of ENDFF is the same as that of any other
Spooler printer.
EXCLUSIVE
Specifies the ownership mode of the device. In most cases, the effect
of EXCLUSIVE is the same as that of any other Spooler printer,
however support for EXCLUSIVE can vary based on the specific
FASTP network print process being implemented. See the product-
specific sections of this manual for exceptions.
FIFO
Specifies the algorithm by which jobs are selected for printing on the
device. The effect of FIFO is the same as that of any other Spooler
printer.
FORM
Specifies a form name for the device. In most cases, the effect of
FORM is the same as that of any other Spooler printer, however
support for FORM can vary based on the specific FASTP network
print process being implemented. See the product-specific sections of
this manual for exceptions.
HEADER
Specifies whether a standard header page or batch header page
should precede each job. The effect of HEADER is the same as that
of any other Spooler printer.
JOB
Causes the specified job to be the next job to be printed. The effect of
JOB is the same as that of any other Spooler printer.
LUEOLVALUE
Sets the end-of-line (EOL) sequence that the print process places at
the end of a print record for LU1 and LU3 type printers only. In most
cases, the effect of LUEOLVALUE is the same as that of any other
Spooler printer, however support for LUEOLVALUE can vary based
on the specific FASTP network print process being implemented. See
the product-specific sections of this manual for exceptions.
LUEOLWHEN
Indicates when the print process is to place an EOL sequence at the
end of a print record for LU1 and LU3 type printers only. In most
cases, the effect of LUEOLWHEN is the same as that of any other
Spooler printer, however support for LUEOLWHEN can vary based on
the specific FASTP network print process being implemented. See
the product-specific sections of this manual for exceptions.
