FASTPTCP Event Messages

proc-name

is the process name of the FASTPTCP process.

device-name

is the Spooler device name.

err-num

 is an SPI error code from TCP/IP.

Cause. 

This message applies to Lexmark printers only. The problem is external to the 

FASTPTCP process. The TCP/IP SPI interface attempt to read the controller IP 
address failed. 

Effect. 

No printing occurs. The Spooler job is requeued, and the Spooler device is 

placed offline.

Recovery. 

Resolve the problem with SPI and TCP/IP, or try another TCP/IP process 

and then restart the device. (Depending on the device configuration, the device might 
restart automatically.)

is a file-system error code or an internal FASTPTCP code.

Cause. 

This message applies to Lexmark printers only. It indicates the Lexmark job 

completion protocol is not working correctly.

Effect. 

The Spooler job is terminated and requeued, and the Spooler device is placed 

offline.

Recovery. 

Try a reset of the Lexmark device.
