Optional DEVICE Attributes for FASTPSMB
TYPE =
{
DOMAIN |
GATEWAY |
POOL
}
specifies the object type for the RESOURCE attribute.
For NBT and NBX, the object type must be
DOMAIN
.
For TLAM (D-series only), the object type is configured with SCF as part of TLAM
and Multilan configuration as follows:
A
DOMAIN
object represents a particular LAN.
A
GATEWAY
object represents an MLAD.
A
POOL
object represents a resource on an adapter card used to store
NetBIOS names and sessions.
The TYPE specification is optional. If the TYPE attribute is not specified, the
default object type is
DOMAIN
.
USERNAME =
account-name
specifies an account name (also called a user ID), if an account name is required,
for user-mode access to the SMB LAN print queue.
Establishing an account name is part of the SMB print-server application
processing. This name is used by the FASTPSMB print process when it
establishes a NetBIOS session with the SMB print-server application.
This attribute value is case sensitive.
USERPWORD =
account-password
specifies an account password, if a password is required, for user-mode access to
the SMB LAN print queue. Passwords are required for all user IDs except guest
IDs.
Establishing an account password is part of the SMB print-server application
processing. This password is used by the FASTPSMB print process (in conjunction
with the account name) when it establishes a NetBIOS session with the SMB print-
server application.
This attribute value is case sensitive.
