Optional Device Attributes for FASTPXNS
The optional DEVICE attributes for FASTXNS are defined as follows:
CONRETRIES =
con-retries
specifies the number of times FASTPXNS retries an ignored Open Connection
request. If the Open Connection is still ignored after this number of retries,
FASTPXNS places the device offline with error 104. The CONRETRIES
specification is optional. The default number of retries is 6.
CONTIMEOUT =
con-timeout
specifies the time (in units of 10 milliseconds) that FASTPXNS waits for Xerox to
respond to an Open Connection request. The CONTIMEOUT specification is
optional. The default value is 500 (5 seconds).
DEPTH =
win-depth
specifies the L2 window depth. The range is 1-10, and the default value is 2. This
parameter should only be used on advice from your service provider.
DJDE =
djde-string
specifies an alternative string that FASTPXNS uses to start a Dynamic Job
Descriptor Entry (DJDE). The default string is
DJDE

HOLDOFF =
spp-holdoff
specifies the time (in units of 10 milliseconds) that FASTPXNS waits before
retransmitting a sequenced packet that has been nack'd. The HOLDOFF
specification is optional. The default value is 100 (1 second). If the same
sequenced packet is nack'd the configured RETRIES value, FASTPXNS reports a
sequence number error and places the device offline with error 190.
RESETJDE =
jde-name
specifies the name of the Job Descriptor Entry (JDE) that FASTPXNS uses when it
wishes to reset the printer. The default JDE used is
DFLT

RESETJDL =
jdl-name
specifies the name of the Job Descriptor Library (JDL) that FASTPXNS uses when
it resets the printer, for example, prior to printing Trailer pages. The default JDL
name used is
TENET
