1 Unless specifically permitted in National Electrical Code
the overcurrent protection for conductors marked (1)
shall not exceed 15 Amperes for 14 AWG, 20 Amperes
for 12 AWG, and 30 Amperes for 10 AWG.
NOTE:
Ampacity is the current in amperes a conductor
can carry continuously without exceeding its
temperature rating while operating under specified
conditions. The values shown are maximum for three
conductors in raceway in open air.
