14.1 Inspection, Repair, and Cleaning

Useful life depends on the operating environment and frequency of use. Operation
cannot be guaranteed beyond the following periods.
For replacement parts, contact your dealer or Hioki representative.
In particular, the life span is likely to become remarkably short when the instrument is used
in a very hot environment.
Fuse
The fuse is housed in the power unit of the instrument. If the power does not turn
on, the fuse may be blown. If this occurs, a replacement or repair cannot be per-
formed by customers. Please contact your dealer or Hioki representative.

60% of initial battery capacity can be expected to remain af-
ter 500 complete charge/discharge cycles.
Electrolytic Capacitors

Lithium battery

The instrument has a built-in lithium battery for backing up
the settings and clock.
If the date and time deviate substantially when the instru-
ment is switched on, it is the time to replace that battery.
Contact your dealer or Hioki representative.
Electrical double layer
capacitor
Approx. 3 years
The instrument has a built-in electrical double layer capaci-
tor for protecting data and backing up measurement data.
When the backup time of measurement data becomes re-
markably short, it is time to replace the capacitor. Contact
your dealer or Hioki representative.
Battery pack connectors
Disconnection/connection times: 30 (the number of times
that provides stable connection)
